Babysitting will be available for $10 per child. Space is limited. Please contact me ("Contact Host" link) if you wish to reserve a spot.
During this lecture, Dr. Anthony Rao will address the distinct challenges of raising young boys into happy and healthy young men. Teaching parents how to raise their sons with respect for their natural development will give boys the best chance to grow into confident and healthy men. “The problem really isn’t the boys,” Dr. Rao says. “It’s our expectations of them.”
ABOUT DR. RAO:
Dr. Anthony Rao is a nationally-known expert in child psychology, appearing regularly on TV news programs and in magazines. He founded a pediatric psychology practice in Massachusetts known for helping children without relying solely on medications. Believing ever-increasing numbers of boys are being treated and medicated for problems many may not have, Dr. Rao urges parents, educators, physicians, and other developmental experts to reevaluate and radically alter how we deal with young boys in his book, “The Way of Boys: Promoting the Social and Emotional Development of Young Boys." It was published by HarperCollins in 2009 and released in paperback in 2010."
